Skater's Cabin​

The historic Skater's Cabin is located on the Mendenhall Lake on the opposite side from the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center. From here, you'll have views of the Mendenhall Glacier, Nugget Falls, the surrounding mountains, and waterfront access to the lake.​​​

A variety of wildlife can be spotted here, including eagles, ravens, black bear, squirrels, porcupine, and the rare wolf. This location is best in the morning and middle of the day due to the sun setting right behind the mountain, casting an earlier shadow.
